Lisa Martinez was more than a colleague - she was family. For 15 years, she brightened our office with her infectious laugh, her homemade cookies on Fridays, and her unwavering belief that kindness changes the world.
Lisa Martinez was more than a colleague - she was family. For 15 years, she brightened our office with her infectious laugh, her homemade cookies on Fridays, and her unwavering belief that kindness changes the world.
When Lisa was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2023, she didn't ask "why me?" Instead, she asked "how can I help others going through this?" Even during chemotherapy, she volunteered at the cancer center, holding hands with newly diagnosed patients and sharing her story of hope.
Lisa passed away on March 15, 2024, surrounded by the people who loved her. She was 49 years old.
In her final weeks, Lisa made us promise to keep fighting. "Don't let my story end here," she said. "Turn it into something beautiful."
This is our promise to her.
**Lisa's Legacy** is our commitment to fund the research that could have saved her, to support the families walking this impossible road, and to honor a woman who taught us that courage isn't the absence of fear - it's choosing to keep going anyway.
Every donation in Lisa's name becomes part of her legacy. Every dollar brings us closer to a world where no one has to say goodbye too soon.
**In loving memory of Lisa Marie Martinez (1975-2024)** *"Kindness changes the world."*
